Step-by-Step Instructions
Access the Document Ingestion Tool: Navigate to "Uploads", then click the "Upload" button that will appear on this page.
Upload Your Files:
You can click "My Device" to browse your computer for files to upload, or, drag and drop files directly into the designated area. Note that the current maximum file size per file is 100 MB. (For assistance with larger files, please contact support!)
You can also import files from a URL, Dropbox, or Google Drive. If uploading a URL, ensure that the link is valid and publicly accessible.
Upload the file: click "Submit" after the uploading completes to begin the digitization process. You will then see each document added as a new 'job' in the system, which will be processed individually.
Review the Processed Document: Once processing is complete, you will receive an email notification (make sure notifications are turned on in your account settings). Click the notification to view the extracted work.
Document Summary Page: Here you can review the following data automatically extracted from the work by the AI:

Keywords and subjects list
Transcript Tab: Select Transcript to view the entire extracted contents of the work, including headers, page breaks, and other formatting. Footnotes are also carefully notated and content is made easily available inline with the text.
Make Edits: On the Transcript page, click Edit. Make any needed adjustments to the content, and click OK to save.
Review Metadata:
Before you can publish your document to make it available for the AI to process, you will need to verify the metadata looks correct in the right hand panel on the page. You can make adjustments here if needed.
Make sure to indicate your preferred document visiblity:
Private: the document will only be accessible by you in both search and chat.
Organization: anyone in your organziation will have access to your document and can access it.
You can also take this opportunity to add your document to a collection in the relevant dropdown.
Publish Document:
After reviewing that the metadata is correct, click the Continue to Publish button, ensure you are ready to proceed and then click the Publish button.
Note that it may take up to 15 minutes for the system to prepare your document for accessibility within the chat feature. It will be available immediately for study within the document viewer.
