Download the Vulgate app
Install Vulgate as a desktop or mobile app for one-click access on every device.
May 21, 2026
Vulgate ships as a Progressive Web App (PWA), so you can install it on macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS without an app-store download. The installed app gets its own window, dock or home-screen icon, and keeps you signed in across sessions.
Desktop
Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Arc
- Open vulgate.ai and sign in.
- Look for the small install icon at the right edge of the address bar (a screen with a downward arrow).
- Click it and choose Install in the popup.
- Vulgate opens in its own window and adds itself to your Dock (macOS), Start menu (Windows), or app launcher (Linux).
Safari 17 and later (macOS)
- Open vulgate.ai and sign in.
- From the menu bar, choose File → Add to Dock.
- Confirm in the popup. Vulgate appears in your Dock and opens in a standalone window when clicked.
If you don't see an install option, you're likely already running an older Safari version — update macOS or use Chrome / Edge instead.
Android
- Open vulgate.ai in Chrome or another modern browser.
- Tap the three-dot menu next to the address bar.
- Choose Install app (or Add to Home screen).
- Confirm. Vulgate is added to your home screen and app drawer and behaves like any native app.
iOS and iPadOS
- Open vulgate.ai in Safari (other browsers can't install PWAs on iOS).
- Tap the Share icon in the bottom toolbar.
- Scroll the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top-right corner.
The icon appears on your home screen and opens Vulgate full-screen, with no Safari chrome.
Uninstalling
- macOS Dock / Windows Start menu: right-click the icon and choose Uninstall.
- Android: long-press the home-screen icon and tap Uninstall.
- iOS: long-press the home-screen icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App.
Uninstalling the PWA does not delete your Vulgate account, documents, or settings — those live on our servers and reappear when you sign back in.
Troubleshooting
If the install option doesn't show up:
- Make sure you're signed in.
- Reload the page once.
- Confirm your browser is up to date.
- Check that you don't already have Vulgate installed — most browsers hide the install option if the PWA is present.
