Changing your account email
Update the email address associated with your Vulgate account in a few steps.
May 21, 2026
You can change the email on your Vulgate account at any time. The new address has to be confirmed before it becomes the active one — until then, sign-in still uses the old address.
Change your email
- Sign in to Vulgate.
- Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Settings.
- Open My profile.
- Update the Email field with the new address and click Save.
Vulgate sends a confirmation link to the new address. Click it to activate the change. Until you do, the old address remains your sign-in identifier and is where we send security and billing notifications.
After confirmation, the new address becomes your sign-in identifier.
Why the confirmation step matters
Email is the primary way Vulgate verifies who you are. Without the confirmation hop, anyone with access to your computer could redirect password resets to an address they control. The extra step costs a click and adds real protection.
Changing email when you can't sign in
If you've lost access to your current email and can't sign in:
- Open the password reset page and enter your old address — you'll need to first re-establish access.
- Once signed in, change the email via the steps above.
- If you've also lost your password and email, contact info@vulgate.ai with as much account-identifying information as you can (Organization name, approximate sign-up date, payment method last 4 digits). We'll help you recover the account.
Email in Organization invitations
If you change your email after accepting an Organization invitation, your Organization membership follows your account (it's tied to your user ID, not the email). Admins will see your new email in the members list automatically.
If you change your email before accepting an invitation, the invitation link won't work — it was sent to the old address. Ask the inviting admin to re-send to the new address.
