Why didn't my email arrive?
A checklist for confirmation, reset, and invitation emails that don't show up.
May 21, 2026
Vulgate sends a handful of transactional emails: account confirmation, password reset, Organization invitation, and billing notifications. Almost all delivery problems trace back to one of the causes below.
Wait a minute, then check spam
Transactional emails are usually delivered within 30 seconds, but during high-traffic windows they can take a couple of minutes. If 5 minutes have passed:
- Check your Spam or Junk folder.
- Search for
from:vulgate.ai. Some clients (Gmail in particular) put first-time senders in Promotions or Updates tabs. - Search for
subject:Vulgateto catch anything that's been auto-categorized.
If you find the email in spam, mark it Not spam — your client will deliver future Vulgate emails to your inbox.
Confirm the address is spelled correctly
A typo in your email is the second most common cause:
- Sign in and open Settings → My profile.
- Re-check the Email field for typos (
.coninstead of.com, missing letters, etc.). - Edit and save if needed — Vulgate sends a fresh confirmation to the corrected address.
Add Vulgate to your safe-sender list
Add noreply@vulgate.ai to your contacts or safe-sender list. The exact steps depend on your email client:
- Gmail: open any Vulgate email, click the three-dot menu, choose Filter messages like this, then Create filter → Never send to Spam.
- Outlook: Settings → Mail → Junk email → Safe senders and domains → add
vulgate.ai. - Apple Mail: add
noreply@vulgate.aito your Contacts.
Then request the email again (resend confirmation, request a new password reset, etc.).
Corporate / educational networks
If you're on a @school.edu or @company.com address, IT may be filtering inbound mail aggressively. Ask your IT team to:
- Allow inbound mail from
vulgate.aiand our sending domainmg.vulgate.ai(Mailgun). - Confirm there's no DKIM/DMARC quarantine policy catching us.
A personal Gmail address is the fastest workaround while IT investigates.
Address typo'd by sender (invitations)
If you were invited by an admin and don't see the email, the most likely cause is a typo in the email they entered. Ask them to:
- Open Settings → Org settings → Pending invitations.
- Look for the invitation row with what should be your email.
- Verify the spelling, delete the invite if wrong, and re-invite with the correct address.
See Invitation email didn't arrive for more.
Still nothing
Email info@vulgate.ai with:
- Your account email address.
- Which email you're expecting (confirmation, reset, invitation, billing).
- The approximate time you requested it.
We can look up the send log and tell you whether the email was delivered, deferred, bounced, or rejected — and what to do about each.
